Job Title: Optical Technician - VR

Duties:

Work closely with engineering team and lab manager to identify and define test requirements and key metrics for evaluation.   Create validation setups to meet various component and product requirements, particularly on displays and viewing optics.

Create, implement, and maintain detailed test procedures for tests of various optical components.

Execute detailed test procedures.

Identify issues and patterns in test results and work with engineering team to determine root cause.

Provide clear documentation and communication of test data, results, and key findings.

 

Skills:

Demonstrated performance in several of the skills listed below:

Display testing

Optical component testing

Experience in documenting test procedures and validation reports

Experience with using optical instrumentation, such as interferometers, spectrophotometers, colorimeters, and TriOptics instruments

Fast learning on operating new optical equipment

Excellent documentation and report writing skills

Excellent cross-functional teamwork skills

Logical and creative thinking

Energy and drive to work in a startup environment

 

Keywords:

Education: 2+ years lab technician experience is required.   Associates, bachelors, or advanced degrees in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline are a plus and may be considered in lieu of experience.
