Title: SMB Marketing Specialist

Duties: The Global Business Marketing team is looking for an experienced strategist and marketer to join the Product Marketing Communications Team working on some of our most innovative messaging.

The successful candidate will have mastery of the written word and its interplay with visual and verbal content. Experience working on product marketing and product release communications materials is a must. Experience with digital marketing is key, as well as empathy and understanding of the SMB audience which is fundamental to this role. This role requires the ability to collaborate with product leaders and marketers in ways that clarify a vision and ensure whole industries are moved to action by it. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across a broad range of topics and cross-functional teams are essential. 

  • Work with the SMB Marketing Leads and Product Marketing team to understand new advertising offerings and create compelling messaging and materials about those product releases and how they translate to the specific informational needs of the three SMB audience tiers 
  • Create informative, specific and compelling content that enables our SMB community to better understand our product offerings in a simple, intuitive way 
  • Build concise and meaningful stories out of complex information to achieve specific objectives, with the SMB audience in mind 
  • Work closely with experienced marketers to help them articulate internally and externally the ways we can maximize the value we  provides to the SMB audience 
  • Propose and execute novel ways of creating shared understanding within a topic or concept 
  • Source and write SMB case studies 
  • Oversee external agencies who you will partner with in the development of creative/content assets 
  • Independently write in-depth practitioner product content
  • Open and can adapt smartly to feedback to meet needs of the customer and client

  • 5+ years experience in product marketing, content strategy, marketing communications, strategy consulting, public relations or a related field 
  • SMB experience 
  • A passion for the truth well-told 
  • A passion and strong understanding of and experience with SMB marketing and the SMB audience 
  • Ability to synthesize complex product features and client needs into simple, powerful stories and practitioner material 
  • Ability to handle the pace and ambiguity that comes with working in a start-up environment 
  • Experience with product release communications 
  • Expertise in Word, PowerPoint, and Keynote 
  • Experience with producing technical product information that is fit for the SMB audience



Education: College preferred
