Job Description


We are  seeking an experienced Events Associate who has a passion for technology and a commitment to event execution. You will help design, build, and execute events at scale. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event ideation, creation and will initiate the planning process and deliver flawless execution. 


Responsibilities
; Manage small to large scale security awareness events (both internal & external facing) covering a range of cross functional teams 
; Responsible for the operational excellence for our events and the holistic guest experience including but not limited to: recruiting events/receptions, conference sponsorships, internal team member events, and partnering with the Event Manager on large scale summits
; Plan, manage & execute entire programs from end-to-end including: vendor and venue coordination, catering, security, live stream/video, registration, shipping, program logistics, budget, program timelines and agendas and program analysis measurement
; Set timelines and communicate with all stakeholders to drive event deadline deliverables while supporting event team' s goals and strategic initiatives.
; Partner cross-functionally with Engineers, Communications, Event Facilities, etc to project-manage and build event programs 
; Execute events within budget 
; Consistently explore opportunities for improvement or enhancement of events
; Evaluate success of events through established metrics 
; Strategically align security events and outreach with organizational imperatives 
; Function as an operations team member and be willing and able to assist as needed with team deliverables
; Collaborate with Engagement Manager & Training manager on event support for training and education initiatives

Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:  5+ years experience in events management or equivalent Bachelor' s degree
; Ability to adapt to changing business situations with a keen eye for attention to detail and event design
; Ability to partner with team members and cross-functional departments to create and manage successful events that are in alignment with the overall Security mission
; Experience managing multiple events, prioritizing and working both independently and collaboratively alongside cross-functional teams to deliver successful results
; Experience working in environments which require strong organizational and time management skills
; Experience working with leadership and engineers with excellent communication skills 
; Experience working in customer service environments which required highly-personable interactions and a focus on success being results-driven 
; 3+ years experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint

 

Preferred Qualifications
; Bachelor' s degree preferred
; Basic knowledge of concepts related to Information Technology or Information Security
; Strong desire to learn and continuously develop new skills
; Passion for Information Security and how Facebook protects its over 2 billion users
