Job Title: Researcher

We’ re looking for a UX Researcher to develop and run a “ rolling research” program for our new Mentorship product, which allows mentees and mentors come together to interact directly as they progress through a guided program developed by nonprofit organizations.  This researcher will be responsible for recruiting, moderating, and reporting on weekly qualitative sessions to evaluate the product and identify new opportunities in this space.  Along with generating valuable product insights for our team, this person will be strengthening relationships with our program partners who provide participants for the research.  As this product is currently in a beta stage, this researcher will be getting in on the ground floor of a brand new social experience and will be positioned to make a sizable contribution to our  team.


  • Work closely with teams to identify business questions
  • Design sessions to address business questions, uncover unmet needs, and understand current behavior and attitudes
  • Generate insights to fuel ideation, evaluate designs and guide product roadmaps
  • Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering, partnerships and marketing
  • Communicate results in a timely and effective manner

  • Interest in and experience executing hands-on, primary research
  • Experience with qualitative methods such as usability testing, interviewing, focus groups, participatory design and concept testing
  • Ability to ask, as well as answer, meaningful and impactful questions
  • Ability to communicate results compellingly to various audiences
  • 3+ years of experience in applied product research preferred
  • Experience with survey research preferred


Advanced degree in human-computer interaction, anthropology, sociology, communication, market research, information science, or a related field preferred
