Pay range is $33 - $38 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Polymer Engineer

Summary:
Our company is the world leader in the design of virtual and augmented reality systems. We are currently seeking an experienced polymer characterization engineer to work with the research and product team to characterize polymer performance.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Polymer related experiment design and research
  • Conduct different polymer characterizations including solution and melt rheology, DMA, Instron, DSC.
  • Conduct surface characterization using SEM, AFM.
  • Conduct data process and analysis
  • Write testing reports and present the testing results to teams
  • Lab equipment maintenance
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in material characterization with an emphasis on polymer characterization.
  • 3+ years of experience in polymer research
  • MS or PhD in material science, polymer science and engineering, polymer physics, or related fields.
  • Data process and analysis
  • Clear communication and report writing
  • Local to Redmond WA or willing to move without moving compensation
Preferred Qualification:
  • PhD research experience
