Accommodations Specialist III
Summary:
The main function of an accommodations specialists is to support individuals and employees with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the HR team to conduct disability eligibility analyses.
- Provide referrals for team members with disabilities for assistance by internal or external resources.
- Approve and manage reasonable accommodations where necessary.
- Assist employees with solving for obstacles unique or common to their disability.
- Monitors and educates on issues affecting individuals with disabilities to maintain an evolving policy of accommodations.
Skills:
- Knowledge of ADA regulations, guidelines, and standards
- Knowledge of HIPAA and related Federal and State privacy laws and regulations.
- strong listening, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to assess and interpret individual needs and make appropriate referrals
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in HR or related field preferred.
