Job Description
$180k-$190k base salaryÂ
ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Design and Collaboration: Architecture leads are responsible for insuring business and technical requirements are translated into design specifications, collaborating with other architects to ensure solutions align with strategic directions, and continuously reviewing project implementations to maintain alignment with approved architectures.
- Project Support and Documentation: Role works closely with project management to mitigate architecture-related issues, maintain and update architecture documentation, and ensure software and technology currency.
- Technical Guidance and Communication: Role leverages subject matter experts to collaborate with development teams, manage workloads, communicate project status to senior managers, and identify opportunities for component reuse.
- Risk Management and Evaluation: Identify and communicate risks associated with application implementation, guide the selection of hardware and software components, and participate in product/vendor evaluation processes.
- Standards and Best Practices: Architecture lead helps foster the creation and socialization of corporate architecture standards and best practices, and initiate proof of concept/technology when appropriate.
Knowledge and ExperienceÂ
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related fieldÂ
- Extensive background in designing infrastructure architectures for global enterprisesÂ
- Previous experience working in Systems, Network Architecture or Engineering. Â
- Previous experience working in a low-latency environment, such as the financial industry. Good knowledge of server operating systems and their TCP/IP stacks, Linux, and WindowsÂ
- Demonstrated technical expertise and acumen of over 10 years or more in one or more specialty fields (Systems – HW/OS, Storage, Security, Networking – L2/L3, Cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP) Â
- Maintain strong hands-on technical expertise to facilitate proof of concept evaluations and foster collaboration with engineering teamsÂ
- Experience in establishing and enforcing standards and practicesÂ
- Ability to resolve complex issues in creative, efficient, and effective waysÂ
- Knowledgeable of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF/ITILÂ
- Has experience in developing enterprise security design patterns, standards, and guidelinesÂ
- Strong familiarity with networking, virtualization, and general IT systemsÂ
- Broad knowledge of core information security principles, such as access control, least privilege and data integrity, along with security capabilitiesÂ
- Programming/Scripting Languages: Python, Perl, PowerShellÂ
- Knowledge of a product technology and system level integrationÂ
- Previous experience in the domains of identity, authentication, and information securityÂ
- Industry certification preferred (CISSP, CISA, GIAC, CCSP, Cloud provider certifications)Â
- Technical security certifications are not required but considered an asset, such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, GPEN, GCFE, CCNA, CCNPÂ
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Ability to conduct presentations to peers, cross- functional teams and director level of leadershipÂ
- Experience in a DevSecOps environmentÂ
- Understanding/Knowledge of global security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, CIS, FIPSÂ
