Data Scientist IV

Summary:
At our company, our goal is to explore, innovate, and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Biostatistics expert to join the Hardware team. Our team create devices that drive input and interaction in our AR and VR devices. A successful candidate would be able to design and analyze sensing data collected with humans in the loop under uncontrolled, in the wild conditions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Apply signal processing and statistical tools to derive KPIs that drive HW design and assessment.
  • Collect, analyze, and manage complex multimodal physiological datasets.
  • Design and analyze data under uncontrolled and naturalistic environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD degree in Biostatistics, Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years experience and/or PhD with experience working with raw sensor data and experimental study design.
  • Experience with sensor failure analysis using proper study design and statistical analysis.
  • 5+ years experience collecting and analyzing datasets with humans in the loop, which include but are not limited to raw Biosensing data (IMU, PPG, ECG, EMG, etc.). Understanding of HW and Algorithm failure and root cause analysis, and comfort using the appropriate tools is appreciated.
  • Expert in Python and one other statistical programming languages like R and MATLAB.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the domain of (bio)-signal processing, statistics, analysis, and control theory.
  • Experience applying advanced statistical analysis to drive real world problems (especially HW development).
  • Strong communication and personal skills.
