Business Analyst IV


Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Climate Risk Business Analyst to join our Net Zero team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting our climate risk assessments, documenting climate risk and resilience processes, and driving our climate resilience and sustainability initiatives through strategic improvements.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct peer benchmarking, regulatory gap analysis, and high-level compliance roadmaps to align with climate-related regulatory requirements like CSRD, TCFD, ISSB, and SB261.
  • Understand and analyze climate risk and financial impact data to uncover patterns, insights, and gaps for planning and reporting across our assets and business model.
  • Create data visualization using industry standard tools such as GIS, Tableau, and others to translate complex climate risk-related data sets into insightful visual representations.
  • Provide decision-making support by translating data insights into actionable recommendations and collaboratively executing on the recommendations.
  • Prepare reports for leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and projections using relevant climate risk and resilience data.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to communicate on regulatory requirements, collect up-to-date data, deliver targeted analytics to inform decision making, and integrate climate risk and resilience into business decisions.
  • Co-design and implement a Climate Adaptation and Resilience Strategy to help us achieve a climate adaptation target and overall resilience to climate change.
  • Draft and coordinate content development for annual climate-related reporting requirements (e.g., CDP, annual sustainability report).

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Climate Risk, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Environmental Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years experience analyzing data, translating data to inform decisions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, GIS, etc.
  • Applicable knowledge and experience in the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) S2 standard.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, Graphs, etc.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex findings into simple and actionable business insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even when working under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in climate modeling, sustainability, or a related field.
