Summary:
The main function of a Communications Specialist is to assist corporate communications with message development, writing, and editing.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring timely, creative and accurate dissemination of news, multimedia content and information
- Create a variety of content for platforms, ensuring quality, accuracy and effective storytelling that aligns with corporate messaging
- Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data.
- Works closely with Client's Product corporate sales team to write and finalize monthly and annual press releases.
- Develop and drive communication content:
- Follow and help implement an editorial calendar with the Communications Manager and members of the Operations team.
- Produce compelling content for an internal employee audience both within our division and throughout the wider community.
- Develop related content for multiple platforms, such as an internal website, workplace posts, product descriptions, videos, and blogs.
- Manage critical communication systems and processes:
- Manage the review processes for publication.
- Create forms and surveys.
- Create and manage tasks, surveys, automated forms, dynamic email groups, etc. across a variety of tools and systems.
- Map processes and identify opportunities for efficiencies.
- Develop processes and templates as needed.
- Update website templates.
- Event management support:
- Support the development and delivery of key strategic events such as conferences, All Hands, and symposia.
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Basic knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
- Basic knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training preferred.
Pay range is $36 - $41 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
