Summary:

Our company is looking for a business communications contractor to support its customer advocacy and proactive storytelling. Successful candidates will have experience working cross functionally with sales, product and marketing stakeholders to tell customer stories in owned content and earned media opportunities. A candidate who has experience in the advertising industry or in a customer marketing role is preferred.

The successful candidate will be able to build relationships with businesses and our account teams to source, develop and land compelling customer stories that demonstrate how our tools are helping businesses grow. Applicants should have strong examples of building cross-functionality relationships, including with sales and product stakeholders, and experience working directly with customers to share their success stories publicly. Candidates will also help project manage product launch moments around industry events in partnership with the broader communications team.

The position is based at one of our office locations in San Francisco or New York.

Responsibilities:
  • Source, develop and land customer success stories in owned content (blogs and social content).
  • Cultivate proactive pitch ideas for press and maintain steady drumbeat of press outreach for customer success stories.
  • Write content such as social posts, blogs, pitches, and other creative materials that evangelize various announcements and milestones.
  • Develop communications plans for product launch moments and ensure customer advocates are included to bring the product impact to life.
  • Project manage the pipeline of customer advocates globally, ensuring we are sourcing and preparing new success stories ahead of launch moments.
  • Manage measurement and reporting for our global advocacy program and proactively provide weekly status updates.
  • Support launch moments with event logistics and press outreach.
  • Work with teams across the company including social, marketing, product, research, and legal.
  • Build and maintain deep relationships with press, influencers and other external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of experience in business communications, digital and/or product communications, or in a customer marketing role
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English or related field
  • Experience in program and project management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Passionate about the advertising industry and its impact on businesses of all sizes.
  • Proven success executing impactful, creative communications and social programs
  • Experience in financial, business and/or advertising PR
  • Collaborate across multiple functions including sales, product, marketing, and more on communications plans

 

Pay range is $51 - $56 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
