Pay range is $78 - $83 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Communications Specialist V

Summary:
This individual will work directly with the Head of Business Messaging Policy, in conjunction with the Director of WhatsApp Product Policy, to generate and document internal policies and procedures necessary to develop, test, and launch new product features over the next twelve months.

The work requires a familiarity with social media product policies and/or trust and safety work. To successfully undertake this task, an applicant must have an ability to consolidate information from multiple sources, identify gaps and/or inconsistencies, and have a high degree of precision in documentation and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide Policy Guidance on a range of WhatsApp business messaging and consumer product features
  • Document decisions taken with regard to relevant content policies applicable to the identified projects.
  • Coordinate with relevant XFN partners to ensure such policies are reviewed appropriately, and accurately included in operational plans.
  • Document policy implementation requirements for specific stages of the identified projects.
  • As needed, consult with Trust and Safety to ensure documentation reflects the most current enforcement protocols.
  • Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams as related to policy enforcement, including Legal, T&S, Public Policy and Comms.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with Internet/social media content/enforcement/operational issues
  • Experience with Excel/Sheets and Powerpoint/Slides
  • Strong written communication skills
