Our Content Design is looking for a seasoned content design CW to drive strategy and content across our Avatars editor experience - enabling users to create and edit their avatars in both headset and on mobile.
Are you interested in helping people of all different backgrounds understand and learn to use new technologies? Are you interested in giving people ways to develop, define and explore their identities and how they can express themselves in VR and across social apps?
The Avatars & Identity team builds the Avatars system to support users across our social apps and VR to embrace and explore identity, expression and social presence. This team works with cross-functional teams to expand on representation and modes of expression, and to make it easy and fun to edit, customize, and use avatars wherever people want to. You’ll collaborate with partners in Product Design, User Research, Art, Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and beyond to design best-in-class experiences—while being a strong advocate for users and content design best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
Pay range is $54 - $59 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

- Aren’t daunted by complex product ecosystems and rapidly changing priorities that require flexibility and agility
- Can establish strong collaborative relationships with your cross-functional partners
- Are a UX practitioner
- Enjoy the challenge of partnering with and influencing other content and product teams at our company to produce high-quality work
- Have experience in integrity, identity or other systems solver roles
- Can influence partners and priorities with a user-focused perspective
- Like building the craft of content design, through standards, terminology, design systems, tone and voice.
- Are comfortable making decisions with incomplete data and operating in ambiguity
- Have some experience with two-sided marketplaces or gaming UX
- Are flexible to accommodate working across various time zones (EST, LON)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Design or a related field
- 5+ years’ experience in UX writing
- Examples of finished wireframes, or design mocks co-authored using design tools, that have been used to drive decision-making within a team
- Experience simplifying and communicating complex ideas to broad audiences in a compelling way
- Familiarity with tools for managing and updating content at scale
- Examples of work in design systems and systems thinking
- Demonstrated experience leading projects with minimal direction and handling a large degree of ambiguity
