EMG Research Analyst III


Role expectation:
  • User study execution and management
  • Lab management
  • Measurement tool verification and validation

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct human subject experiment per experiment protocol (provided).
    • Provide input to experiment protocol
  • Coordinate with user studies research assistants to run multiple experiments in parallel
  • Data sanitization after experiment and perform quality check
  • Generate technical report on dataset and handoff to researcher
    • Descriptive statistics of the dataset
  • Lab management
    • Own and maintain tools and lab equipment including:
      • Cameras. Motors. Motion capture systems. Inertial motion units.
      • ME/EE bench: voltage, resistance, complex impedance, current measurements, function generators, soldering, 3D printers, loadcells
      • Prototypes with translation stages, loadcells
      • Python programming, MATLAB programming, basic C and C++ proficiency, Solidworks/ NX proficiency
      • Verification and validation of prototypes
  • Maintain lab inventory, order parts, and help run equipment for measurements
