Job Description

Partnership Development Specialist, Americas

Summary:

At our company, we are on a mission to create the future of emergency housing in times of crisis. We partner with local nonprofits and government agencies to provide safe, welcoming stays for people displaced by disasters, conflict, and other emergencies around the world.

Our partners are essential to our mission: they identify and vet beneficiaries, offer case management, conduct public outreach, surface powerful impact stories, and often serve as liaisons to government entities. They also collaborate with us on communications, PR, and policy efforts—all while operating under the intense pressure and urgency of emergency response.

Within 24 hours of every emergency response activation, our cross-functional objective is to begin providing housing, ensure the public knows how to access support, engage the media with clear messaging, and equip partners with the tools and knowledge they need to carry out beneficiary vetting, intake and case management.

Our company is seeking an Emergency Response Partnership Development Specialist to support the development of high-impact partnerships with nonprofit organizations in the Americas, particularly those working in disaster response and health-related emergencies.

This role will focus on identifying and engaging prospective partners, supporting onboarding, and maintaining relationships in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. The contractor must be comfortable moving quickly, working independently, and communicating effectively across time zones. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) remote position.

Responsibilities:

Partnership Identification & Outreach
  • Identify and engage prospective nonprofit partners in disaster response and related sectors, with guidance from our Global Emergency Response team. Conduct targeted outreach to mission-aligned organizations and networks.

Partner Engagement
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with new and existing partners. Serve as a key point of contact during onboarding and, when needed, during active emergency responses.

Meeting Facilitation & Convening
  • Schedule and lead meetings with prospective and current partners. Support the planning and execution of an in-person gathering of core partners in late 2025 to collect feedback and inform the development of partner training materials, toolkits, and other resources.

Documentation & Follow-up
  • Track outreach efforts and relationship-building activities. Clearly document progress and independently follow up on next steps and action items.

Travel
  • Some travel may be needed for partner-related meetings

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in partnership development, program coordination, stakeholder engagement, or similar roles.
  • Strong cross-sector fluency, with experience working in or alongside nonprofits and tech-driven organizations.
  • Familiarity with US and international NGO ecosystems, especially in disaster response, public health, and related sectors.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills–capable of engaging stakeholders across cultures and levels of seniority.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to prioritize in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Experience in startup or emergency contexts and comfort implementing initiatives with limited structure.

Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree.

Pay range is $43.89 - $48.89 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
