Event Manager V

Our company is seeking an enthusiastic, self-directed, data-driven Events Project Manager to plan and manage the execution of public and internal events for company executives. This individual will be a systems thinker who can build plans, drive processes, proactively identify opportunities, collaborate and effectively communicate across multiple teams within our company. The role requires strong process, operational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage the planning of multiple projects in various stages of an overall larger program.
This person will need to have an entrepreneurial nature to try new and different things with minimal direction. This individual will be able to effectively support planning and execution of events, identify opportunities, understand requirements, organize information, develop plans and guide various projects to successful execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong problem solving background, with excellent judgment and a track record of working with executive stakeholders. This person should be able to think critically and strategically, and execute tactically.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage the planning process (from idea to execution) for events
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams and lead regular cadence of planning meetings
  • Work with others to understand goals, identify opportunities and provide guidance on the event operations
  • Update operating procedures, policies, and other documentation to reflect changes to processes
  • Communicate with cross-functional stakeholders to create awareness and adoption of process changes, delivering training(s) as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, coordination, event management or other related field
  • Ability to travel domestically and work across different time zones
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and willingness to adapt and re-prioritize in a rapidly changing business environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Communication experience
  • Analytical and problem solving experience
  • Relationship management experience and
  • Experience managing and influencing cross-functional business stakeholders
