Summary

Client's Enterprise Infrastructure & Security (EIS) group is seeking an experienced and self-motivated business / financial analyst with strong technical skills to organize, manage, and support financial planning activities for EIS. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, updating, performing analysis on, and recommending process improvements for a multi-million dollar budget spanning hundreds of individuals, and self-managing your portfolio of projects and operational requests.

Embedded within the Business Planning and Operations Program, you’ll use your knowledge and expertise to directly support and own budget planning and tracking activities. You will be responsible for maintaining an accurate and up-to-date budget, tracking and presenting on per-pillar and org-wide progress, identifying process improvements to influence program roadmaps, and presenting status and analysis to org senior leadership on a regular basis.

Your strong technical background in accounting, financial and business planning will enable you to maintain an accurate budget that acts as our source of truth. Experience working with data query languages (like SQL) will enable you to scale activities. You’ll leverage these to create and deliver accurate, data-driven reports and presentations to leadership for review and org-wide prioritization. A robust project management foundation to efficiently partner cross-functionally, while self-managing your work, will ensure that operational and strategy deliverables are completed successfully.

Responsibilities
  • Be the steward / owner of the EIS budget, ensuring data accuracy and completeness with attention to detail
  • Ensure all Client's data relevant fields are updated, maintained, and aligned with relevant budget owners
  • Recommend and implement improvements for how we manage our budget, following industry best practices
  • Partner with program team members to drive initiatives to clarify and improve overall budget management processes
  • Support adoption and integration with various Financial tooling systems and services, maintaining parity of information across sources
  • Support tactical / operational asks including budget status, information requests, change management, and more
  • Track and maintain budget utilization reports, cross-referenced against org strategic initiatives 
  • Partner effectively with key internal and external (Finance, Sourcing) stakeholders + partners, while building and maintaining key relationships  
  • Deliver monthly / quarterly analysis detailing budget status, utilization, and major changes
  • Support internal communications on broad-based and specific per-project progress, including written updates and presentations 
  • Manage documentation cleanly and clearly using team collaboration tooling, wikis. Ensure relevant resources are made available to program members and broader audiences as needed
  • Leverage project management tooling to self-manage work via tasks / tickets utilizing team frameworks and processes
  • Attend status meetings and provide clear updates on progress, blockers, and next steps on a recurring basis

Qualifications
  • 3+ years working in a business or financial analyst / management role
  • 3+  years working in financial / business analyst or partner roles within a technology company, or directly supporting technology organizations
  • Strong background in financial accounting principles and use in practice
  • Strong background in financial modeling and analysis
  • Strong technical skills working with Microsoft Excel / spreadsheets 
  • Familiarity or experience with query and analytics language and frameworks (SQL, Tableau, etc)
  • Problem-solver who is able to overcome challenges;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience leading without expressed authority, influencing decisions and outcomes, and knowing how and when to effectively push back;
  • Expertise with MS Office and Google Suite (particularly spreadsheets, documents, and presentations);
  • Experience with data entry & analytics, creation of reports, dashboards, and presentations. Background in quantitative financial analysis is a plus;
  • Effectively coordinates schedules and meetings using tools such as Outlook, Google Calendar, Office 365, etc.;
  • Experience simultaneously managing multiple projects & changing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment at scale;
  • Experience working with technical engineering teams and other cross-functional teams to help drive initiatives & decision making;
  • Experience communicating effectively across business and technical teams;
  • Demonstrates a dedication to ensuring and maintaining the quality of the end product;
  • Experience thinking multiple steps ahead and taking proactive steps to address roadblocks, issues, and distractions, while being able to manage upwards and escalate as needed;

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related or technical field
Pay range is $58 to $60 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
