Network/Systems Lab Engineer II
Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Integrate, bring up, and maintain network labs owned by the Netcastle team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement lab infrastructure
- Identify and resolve technical network and system issues during installation and bring-up of network equipment
- Troubleshoot complex problems and provide timely solutions
- Coordinate the delivery and installation of new network products
- Test switch testbed installations to ensure they are ready to be used by other software teams to validate their software
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure quality and reliability of network equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management
Must Have Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in network lab environment development
- Proficiency in network switch infrastructure (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced team environments
- Detail-oriented and organized
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.)
- Knowledge of network security best practices
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
