Responsible for developing and deploying data science based tools for asset reliability monitoring for MCS. This is a unique opportunity for our staff to learn the diverse MCS operations DS-DP-FDP-Warehouse, interact with various MCS F&E SMEs to develop knowledge on KPIs for equipment and advance existing framework of asset reliability monitoring analytics. The outcome of this effort will be to build a single platform and data architecture that can aggregate reliability performance of all MCS assets, while providing ability to “double click” down to individual asset level. In this role, the staff will be reporting into MCS Reliability Pr. Engineer for guidance as well as interact with other F&E plant leaders for client feedback and support.
Other key learnings for staff in this role are applications of reliability centered maintenance strategies, condition-based maintenance techniques, and good engineering practices, data science applications, advanced analytics, and project management capabilities for Reliability Engineering projects.

- Regularly apply theories and principles from Data Science to develop and deploy asset performance monitoring tools.
- Facilitate reliability centered maintenance assessments, collaborate with SMEs to apply six sigma methodologies for improving maintenance strategies, and implementation
- Train, perform, and develop reliability tools and procedures (RCM, FMEA, RCA, reliability models, statistical analysis, etc.)
Red Flags:
- No consultancy background; Manager prefers someone who has been in a practical application role. Train the trainer and has done the work.
- Only wants remote work

- Regularly apply theories and principles from Data Science to develop and deploy asset performance monitoring tools.
- Facilitate reliability centered maintenance assessments, collaborate with SMEs to apply six sigma methodologies for improving maintenance strategies, and implementation
- Train, perform, and develop reliability tools and procedures (RCM, FMEA, RCA, reliability models, statistical analysis, etc.)
- Contribute to Reliability Engineering strategic planning and continuous improvement opportunities
- Create reliability documents, business process documents, schedules, and reports
- Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Manufacturing to understand and respond to the Voice of the Customer
- Conduct risk assessments on production and utility equipment utilizing PHA, FMEA and other techniques.
- May exercise working or leading technical forums and reliability workshops
- Present ideas, goals, and results at departmental, plant, and network meetings

- Data Science experience and passion
- Engineering Degree
- Lean six sigma experience
- Reliability knowledge is not required but preferred
- Experience in F&E role is not required but preferred
