Network Business Analyst
The Network Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between the technical network team and business stakeholders, contributing to the alignment of network solutions with organizational goals. This role involves analyzing network data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights that drive informed business decisions related to network infrastructure, performance, and improvements.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret network-related data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Collaborate with network engineers and other technical teams to gather relevant data.
- Business Requirements: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their network-related needs and translate these requirements into technical solutions. Document business requirements clearly and concisely.
- Network Performance: Monitor and assess network performance metrics, such as latency, bandwidth utilization, and uptime. Provide recommendations to optimize network performance and meet business objectives.
- Business Impact: Evaluate how network changes and upgrades impact business processes and operations. Provide insights into the potential benefits and risks associated with network-related initiatives.
- Documentation: Document network-related business processes, requirements, and procedures. Create user-friendly documentation that facilitates clear communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Requirements Elicitation: Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather detailed network requirements from various business units. Ensure that requirements are well-defined and aligned with business goals.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate findings, recommendations, and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Present complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Project Support: Collaborate with project managers, network engineers, and other relevant teams to support the planning, implementation, and testing of network projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to network management and business analysis. Propose innovative solutions to enhance network efficiency and effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with a focus on network or IT projects.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
- Familiarity with business analysis methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, spreadsheet software, and network monitoring tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions and present findings to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), are a plus.
