Summary:
Our company is looking for a Brand Designer to join Central Products—an org that supports cross company efforts to build the company brand. We focus on creating and scaling visual systems through product experiences, creative tools and artifact design.
The designer will be responsible for bringing brand expression to our product surfaces and supporting the creation of brand design language and for new programs and features. You will partner with art directors and product designers, driving creative explorations and pushing the expansion of new visual styles and forms of expression.
The candidate should have the ability to think systematically, strategically articulate design decisions, and iterate quickly. You'll cover the design spectrum—from quick, rough ideation to polished final deliverables. We look for work that thinks big and gets attention, but also follows a conceptual thread down to the smallest details. Candidates should have broad experience working on a variety of projects with multiple partners, across styles and mediums with rapid iterations and on tight timelines.
The ideal candidate would also have experience working in AI assisted image gen workflows for creative concepting and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Ideating visual concepts and refining design work based on creative direction
- Developing visual identity platforms, systems, typography, palette, illustration, and iconography systems
- Extending brand expression system to interactive digital experiences
- Concepting, prototyping, and executing brand and marketing experiences in product
- Clearly articulating strategic thinking and design decisions to a variety of partners
- Giving and soliciting feedback from your UX design peers in service of building the best products
- Collaborating daily with peers in every discipline, including engineering, content, research, marketing, and data science, to take products from conception to launch
- Working independently on multiple projects at a high caliber level, keeping project timelines on track and showing progress
- Independently and proactively identifying and working on projects that span multiple teams. This may involve facilitating or co-facilitating design sprints and workshops to kick off these projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience with product, branding, or communication design
- A portfolio that demonstrates product, branding, communication design experience
- Demonstrated experience with visual storytelling and communication design
- Demonstrated experience creating work for digital surfaces (mobile, web)
- Experience or exposure to working with design systems at scale
- Portfolio exhibits skills in conceptual thinking, composition, typography, and color
- Presentation, interpersonal, and communication experience
- Knowledge of creative & production tools: Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects
- Experience with time management, task prioritization, and identifying problems and work towards solutions
- Knowledge of iOS, Android and WWW design
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in AI tooling including Claude Code, Figma Make, Weavy, NanoBanana
- Experience with design systems and product teams
- Experience in 3D design, prototyping and motion/animation a plus
Pay range is $84 - $89 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
