Summary:

As a Product Designer, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great product innovation to tweaking pixels right before launch. You will be expected to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills, and you will own the experience for a wide area of the product.

This designer will help improve and maintain the Design System Figma component library as well as documentation. Excellent component craft, Figma tooling expertise, strong written communication skills, and attention to detail is paramount.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize and maintain a large library of components & files
  • Explore new variants for existing components
  • Create proposals for component improvements based on system gaps and/or new Figma functionality
  • Provide detailed and improved design specs for existing components
  • Update and maintain component documentation
  • Troubleshoot issues with design files (layer structure/organization) and resolve bugs;
  • Design flows and experiences that are simple and elegant
  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable
  • Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant
  • Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams
  • Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality
  • Partner with Product Managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch

Skills:
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Front-end programming
  • Experience in building and shipping applications or software
  • Provide URL featuring examples of interaction design work
  • Demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design

Hard Skills:
  • 5+ years’ relevant production design or design systems experience
  • Experience establishing and evolving design system documentation
  • Expert working within Figma Familiar with WCAG accessibility guidelines

Soft Skills:
  • Highly detail-oriented and a systems thinker
  • Works quickly and efficiently, without sacrificing quality
  • Familiar and comfortable with contributing to design systems guidance and documentation overall

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field required.

 

Pay range is $71 - $76 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
