Pay range is $51 - $56 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Research Engineer - Event-Based Computer Vision (Senior Research Position)


Summary:

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Engineer to join our team in a senior research position focused on event-based computer vision. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing computer vision algorithms for pose estimation and object recognition using only event cameras. The candidate should have experience with specific hardware, but their core contribution will be their deep knowledge of the field of event cameras.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms for pose estimation and object recognition using event cameras.
  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to evaluate the performance of the algorithms and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and engineers to identify research questions and solutions.
  • Stay current on developments in the field of event-based computer vision and related areas.
  • Communicate research findings through publications, presentations, and other means.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of research and development in event-based computer vision, with a focus on pose estimation and object recognition.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, and Matlab.
  • Experience with specific hardware such as DVS cameras, event-based vision sensors, and FPGA implementations.
  • Knowledge of deep learning and traditional computer vision algorithms for event-based data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
