Research Program Manager III


Summary:

Research Program Managers build and scale global research programs to strengthen the impact of our research teams. We drive efficiency, cultivate relationships, increase knowledge-sharing, and build capacity within our organization to enable researchers to do their most impactful work. In this role, you will help define, establish, and maintain operations to support a growing research team.

The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity and has a bias for action. The role requires project management and research experience and a broad knowledge of research's impact on product design and development. Communication skills, stakeholder management, the ability to manage complex logistics, and an organized approach are mandatory.

Responsibilities:
  • Support defining and managing strategic initiatives that improve efficiency and impact.
  • Proactively identify and partner with stakeholders on internal processes.
  • Partner with team to improve optimization and documentation.
  • Provide frequent program updates, identify and communicate risks and adjustments, and ensure commitments are delivered.
  • Support research planning and allocation by helping track, align and forecast team budget.
  • Coordinate and facilitate team meetings.
  • Facilitate relationships between teams, move initiatives forward, find resources to unblock research and resolve open issues that prevent progress.
  • Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of tasks/work streams.

  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently, and manage one’s time.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • PM/research experience.

 

Pay range is $78 - $83 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
