JOB CODE DESCRIPTION: PLAN: The Project Planner, or QC, is the first of several team members that are required to complete the permitting process for each project. Planners are responsible for ensuring each plan is reviewed for accuracy and proposes the most practical and efficient route. Planners will also determine which jurisdictions the project will pass through and determine which team members will need to be involved with each project. Accuracy of these tasks is essential for any project to be completed as quickly and efficiently as possible.

1-Research and review preliminary proposed routes.

2- Determine all jurisdictions relevant to the project.

3-Performs field engineering of proposed projects as necessary.

4-Complete all required applications.

5-Submit plans to CADD, ROW and Administrators as needed.

6-Work closely with Project Planners to resolve any complications that may arise.

Typical Training / Experience - HS diploma, GED or relevant work experience; Specialized skill training/certification may be required; 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility required

Dept/Org Scope & Impact - Fully functioning support role having greater responsibility to perform all (or most) of the standard work within the function; moderate impact to the department

Problem Complexity - Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex; Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor/manager

Autonomy - Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, techniques; Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor/manager

Knowledge - Demonstrates basic knowledge of a technical or specialty area; Readily learns and applies new information/concept in area of practice. Knowledge of Las Vegas permitting practices, aerial and   underground construction methods is essential
