Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the entire WiFi network for the Samsung Taylor Semiconductor campus
  • Lead a greenfield wireless project using Cisco technology
  • Ensure proper coverage is provided to all office and manufacturing buildings
  • Work on new and improvement projects to meet internal customer needs, making sure the network is stable, scalable and reliable
  • Support teams that require IIoT infrastructure
  • Work with a team of talented network engineers that you will mentor so they can support you
  • Take ownership of the WiFi Network
  • Properly design, plan, make recommendations, document, operate and support the wireless network, along with its dedicated switch infrastructure, including after-hours support as needed
  • Participate in extending the Wireless Network as the campus grows, and improve wireless end user experience in a manufacturing challenging environment
  • Provide 24/7 support (Overnight support as needed)
  • Must respond to escalation tickets within SLA
  • Resolve assigned tickets in a timely manner to provide solutions to internal customers
  • Must adhere to standard operating procedures, standard configuration, check lists, and conform to corporate change-control and security policies
  • Create reports per management request, and on a weekly basis
  • Maintain and update all wireless network documentation

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • 10+ years designing/supporting large scale enterprise networks preferred; including 7+ years of hands on experience in roles focused on wireless design, implementation, configuration, and support required – must be a Wireless SME.
  • Experience with Prime, MSE location Engine as well as newer technologies DNA-Center and CMX
  • Familiar with Inter-Controller Mobility between Aire-OS and Embedded Wireless Controllers
  • In-depth understanding of ISE Authentication and Authorization Policies
  • Skilled in designing, implementing and troubleshooting data networks, including wired networks
  • Excellent understanding and experience in all 802.11 wireless standards
  • Experience with switch configuration, routing configuration, IPv4 subnetting, Cisco IOS, DNS, SNMP and DHCP
  • Ability to work well within a team, willing to mentor other team members, and network documentation proficiency
  • Strong sense of responsibility and be driven to complete projects on time
  Preferred:
  • CCNP Wireless, or equivalent wireless certifications
  • Experience with Netscout or Ekahau Wireless planning tools
  • Previous experience performing migrations to Wi-Fi 6 infrastructure
