Job Description

Strategic Partner Manager, Payments Partnerships
Remote

The Global Payments Partnerships team is responsible for developing and managing relationships with companies that provide critical payment services for our business lines, as well as partners who enable new commerce and payment experiences on our platform. We’re looking for a Strategic Partner Manager to help us develop and execute our payments partnerships strategy with industry partners, such as payment networks, processors, and issuers.

In this role you will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, marketing, operations, finance, and tax to launch new and evolve existing payments partnership opportunities. You’ll work directly with top industry partners.

We are seeking a candidate with a strategic perspective on both product and partnership development, and a proven ability to influence and negotiate both externally and internally. The candidate should be comfortable with technical and financial deal points, and able to effectively communicate up and down a management ladder. The candidate should also be excited by the challenge of structuring custom agreements and new templates for initiatives. Additionally, they should enjoy a team-oriented environment, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead workstreams with our payments partners.
  • Structure complex agreements that include custom commercials, technical integrations, data protection and privacy.
  • Provide a strategic perspective to product and engineering teams, delivering critical business insights and launching initiatives that impact the market.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to identify and creatively solve complex operational, regulatory, and legal issues.
  • Help teams choose and sequence the best partners for our products.
  • Supervise and drive decision-making on all agreement mechanics.
  • Ability to travel from 10%-30% depending on project status.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS or BA Degree.
  • 7+ years working in payments, ideally with a focus on fraud and chargebacks.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional communication skills and relationship building experience with technical teams, lawyers, and marketers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience influencing, managing and coaching partners, and structuring and negotiating complex agreements.
Pay range is $89 - $94 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
