System Test Engineer - 4
Full Time | United States, Remote
Looking for System Test Engineer to be part of the engineering team. In this role, you will interact with developers and product managers to validate, test, and improve Intent-Based Networking and Analytics product.
Responsibilities
- Test software product to ensure it operates as defined by requirements
- Build well-optimized network designs for Data Center networks using MP-BGP, VXLAN, layer-3 Routing and layer-2 Switching features on Network Operating Systems such as Junos, NXOS, EOS, SONiC and Cumulus Linux
- Plan, develop and implement automated and manual test plans
- Provide constructive feedback, report issues and interact with developers to deliver superior product quality
- Review requirements from the Product Management team
- Use available network troubleshooting tools, including network packet captures, monitoring devices, log files, and customer feedback to facilitate effective issue resolution
- Automate new test cases based on test plan and complete them on new software releases. Develop test infrastructure libraries and tools
- MS/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge on Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies by either validating or deploying related networking products
- Hands-on experience with at least one popular Networking Operating Systems such as NXOS, IOS, EOS, JunOS, Cumulus Linux and SONiC
- Solid understanding of popular network deployment architectures for Data Center networks
- Experience with Linux-based systems and network troubleshooting tools
- Solid understanding of protocols used in Data Center networks such as VXLAN, and MP-BGP
- Good knowledge of HTTP APIs (REST)
- Quality focused personality with a strong interest in finding product and interaction limitations
- 7y+ of experience
- Experience in testing SDN or network management products
- Exposure to server/network virtualization and container technologies
- Exposure to python programming language
