Summary
The main function of a technical project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.
- Manage user help system, creating process documentation / knowledge bases to improve self-service.
- Proactively identify methods to automate the help system and drive automation / tooling requirements.
- Provide users with technical front-line support for infrastructure capacity issues.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Basic knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.
- Experience in owning a front-line technical customer support system strongly preferred.
- Experience in driving execution of complex x-organization infrastructure supply chain projects.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
- PMI or PMP certification preferred.
