UX Designer III
Summary:
At our company, our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences.
Project Aria is a research device that is worn like regular glasses and will help us build the software — including a live map of 3D spaces — and hardware necessary for future AR devices. With Project Aria, we are building towards a future where our devices disappear into the flow of everyday life, enhance the world around us as we go, and render our devices more human in design and interactivity.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Designer to join the Project Aria team. We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience in designing compelling interactions and experiences. Join a team of designers, content strategists and researchers who are passionate about building the next personal computing platform that puts people at the center and enables them to be more present and more connected with people they care most about. You will work with a team of researchers who create the technology that makes AR pervasive and universal. Your work will be used in user research studies, academic partnerships, technology demos, and proof of concept prototypes.

UX Designer III

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Designer to join the Project Aria team. We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience in designing compelling interactions and experiences. Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers and other designers to define great experiences from initial concept through successful implementation
- Visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity including high-level wireframes, conceptual designs, design presentations and detailed specifications
- Collaborate closely with one or more local or remote Agile Scrum teams, working iteratively to deliver customer value
- Use customer insights that come from analytics and customer interactions to help inform business and design decisions
- Help to facilitate and participate in user research like interviews and usability testing to validate designs and make iterative improvements
- Contribute to efforts to create scalable experience design standards and improve design processes
- Participate in and lead design-thinking exercises to break through organizational silos and collaboratively solve complex design challenges
- Advanced skills in all of the following: user centered design methodologies; creating mock-ups and prototypes at varying levels of fidelity; UI design, including current industry best-practice in UI standards, and accessibility requirements, for web and mobile.
- A portfolio demonstrating your end-to-end design process.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas to their essence.
- Demonstrable experience utilizing a variety of human-centered design methods and best practices
- Ability to drive results in a collaborative environment.
- Strong presentation skills to share your work with credibility, clarity, and confidence.
- Experience translating qualitative and quantitative data into design decisions.
- Practical understanding (including capabilities, patterns and limitations) of current technologies used to build rich experiences in responsive web and native mobile large enterprise apps.
- Expert in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- MA / MS degree UX/UI design, UCD, HCI, or related field of study, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in product design or user experience design, preferably in gaming, research, or e-commerce adjacent industries.
- Experience defining product strategy and vision
- Ability to balance great design solutions with an iterative, agile approach.
- Experience supporting a complex ecosystem with multiple products
- Comfortable working on a distributed team and collaborating remotely.
