Pay range is $60 - $69 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Messenger Trust (Privacy Pod)


Summary:

We’re looking for an experienced researcher who’s energized by the messaging space and products that are designed with user privacy and trust in mind. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners and other researchers to identify user research questions and evaluate product solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with researchers, designers, product managers, data scientists & engineers to identify research questions
  • Collaboratively develop and execute a research roadmap
  • Conduct all phases of qualitative/mixed methods UX research (planning, data collection, analysis, reporting)
  • Communicate findings and implications to stakeholders
  • Manage research vendors to help augment the work of the research team

Skills:
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and new spaces
  • Able to synthesize existing knowledge
  • Experience designing and conducting end-to-end user research, including generative and evaluative methods
  • Experience conducting remote research
  • Qualitative research design, data analysis and reporting (Quantitative research experience a plus)
  • Ability to translate research findings to actionable recommendations
  • Ability to guide and influence cross-functional partners
  • Understanding of user experience principles and the product development process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education/Experience:
  • MA/MS in HCI or social science field (psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, or economics)
  • At least 5 years experience conducting user research in an industry setting
