Description
Client is seeking an experienced Vulnerability Analyst to join the Enterprise Infrastructure & Security organization. This position will be responsible for supporting the program lead with vulnerability related activities. This includes investigating, assessing and monitoring potential security vulnerabilities, triaging vulnerabilities, and creating actionable reports for cross-functional teams. An ideal Vulnerability Analyst is someone that has a solid understanding of IT, Cyber Security and Vulnerability Management, and can apply that knowledge to solve problems at the scale of Client. This role can be located remotely, anywhere in the continental U.S.

Client is seeking an experienced Vulnerability Analyst to join the Enterprise Infrastructure & Security organization. This position will be responsible for supporting the program lead with vulnerability related activities. This includes investigating, assessing and monitoring potential security vulnerabilities, triaging vulnerabilities, and creating actionable reports for cross-functional teams. An ideal Vulnerability Analyst is someone that has a solid understanding of IT, Cyber Security and Vulnerability Management, and can apply that knowledge to solve problems at the scale of Client. This role can be located remotely, anywhere in the continental U.S.
Responsibilities
- Manage the detection, assessment, communication, and remediation coordination of security vulnerabilities
- Assess the accuracy and validity of vulnerability scan results through technical analysis
- Determine appropriate treatment decision (accept, remediate, mark as false positive, not actionable, etc.)Â
- Liaise with security and engineering teams to troubleshoot and gather the appropriate data required to apply appropriate treatments across in-scope assets within set SLAs
- Verify and validate corrective activities with engineers and subject matter experts
- Enhance vulnerability management actions through automation, process improvement, technological implementation, and any other supportive projects
- Identify metrics to be reported depicting the status of system security, threats, and vulnerability and patch management across Enterprise Engineering
- Monitor public and proprietary sources for vulnerability information
- Maintain and compose operational process documentation regarding program execution
- 5+ years’ experience in Information Technology, Cyber Security and Vulnerability Management space
- Strong technical understanding of CVSS, OWASP Top 10 and Vulnerability Exploitability ratings
- Intermediate to Proficient in scripting languages (i.e. SQL, Python, PHP, etc.)
- Experience preparing vulnerability data and reports for both technical and executive audiences
- Previous experience working in large scale environments with diverse technologies
- Willingness to learn Client -specific technologies and remediation options
- Strong communication and partnership skills to collaborate with internal, cross-functional teams, such as Client’s Operating System team, to ensure vulnerability remediation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and data analysis
- Self-motivated and operates with a high sense of urgency and a high level of integrity
- Experience independently leading projects to completion
- Experience working with limited and ambiguous dataÂ
- Experience collaborating with various levels of leadership, engineers and cross-functional teams
- Experience working with global teams across different regions and timezones
