- Maintain and improve WordPress site features using JavaScript and PHP.
- Create and modify WordPress plugins and themes, including bug fixes and updates.
- Partner with various stakeholders to turn requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Enhance site responsiveness, optimize performance, and resolve technical issues.
- Engage in code reviews and documentation while adhering to secure coding standards.
- Implement an AI-first development workflow using modern toolsets.
- Proven track record of developing WordPress sites or applications with PHP and JavaScript.
- Direct experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins from the ground up.
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS and knowledge of web best practices regarding accessibility and maintainability.
- Familiarity with WordPress architecture, including hooks, PHP APIs, the block editor, and REST API.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage tasks independently in high-pressure environments.
- Clear communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams.
