<strong>Summary</strong><br />
Weâre looking for an experienced, fullstack engineer, passionate about social impact, who can help us build our vision of a nimble global emergency response program. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on software development, and seamless collaboration with many functions.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
We are a small team working in an evolving space, so our engineers must be comfortable in a fluid work environment where responsibilities may change rapidly in response to sudden shifts in world events or government policy.<br />
<br />
<strong>Responsibilities</strong><br> 

<ul>
&#9;<li>Collaborate with cross functional partners on all aspects of product development</li>
&#9;<li>Envision and develop capabilities to help NGO partners book housing on our platform, to build a global supply of free or discounted housing, and to raise donations.</li>
&#9;<li>Work with the engineering and data team to plan longer term projects into deliverable milestones.&nbsp;</li>
&#9;<li>Identify and advocate for areas of improvement through data insights and research.</li>
&#9;<li>Quickly build context in unfamiliar codebases across our product to enable org-specific capabilities</li>
</ul>

<br><strong>Requirements</strong><br> 

<ul>
&#9;<li>8+ years industry experience</li>
&#9;<li>Experience designing, implementing, and deploying long term initiatives through collaboration with cross functional partners.&nbsp;</li>
&#9;<li>Experience as a fullstack developer, ideally React/Typescript and Java/Kotlin &nbsp;</li>
&#9;<li>Solid understanding of engineering best practices, continuous integration, and incremental delivery.</li>
&#9;<li>Expertise designing and scaling APIs and their backing services</li>
&#9;<li>Comfortable advocating for product improvements by leveraging data insights & user research</li>
</ul>

<br><strong>Nice to Haves</strong><br> 

<ul>
&#9;<li>Demonstrable interest in the social impact field.</li>
&#9;<li>Familiarity with GraphQL</li>
&#9;<li>Fluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies</li>
